Flock me!

Just beta-testing the developer preview of Flock, which is basically Firefox with a bunch of social networking features built in. In particular, it has blogging, del.icio.us, RSS and Flickr support built in. I was sceptical, but MAN it rocks hard. Probably the best feature for me is the way it uses del.icio.us to organize your bookmarks -- SO much better than my huge bloated list of bookmarks in Safari.

A while ago, you uploaded to Flickr a picture of some rubble in a town called Flesherton with the tag line "Nobody seemed to know what this was or why it burned down."

It first was a gas station (note the metal cashier's post). Flesherton had about four others at the time, and despite being the busy intersection of 4 and 10, we thought 4 was enough. It then became an apple stand, hosting the locally acclaimed traveling fruit and vegetable trader The Apple Peddler. He sold out to one Ken Kingwell whose later decline in health left it abandoned. The wooden counters that had stood there for some six years were eventually torn down and the pavillion was used for covered parking.

A couple of years ago, the town Information Booth moved about ten metres to the side of the pavillion closest to the street. If you look again at your photo, you will notice that the right most pile of rubble on the ground is unusually taller than the rest of the roof's rubble. That is because THAT WAS OUR INFORMATION BOOTH :( Rumour has it that kids burgled the local dairy/video mart, taking some fireworks with them, and then lighting those within the information booth. Being made of a fine-burning wood, the booth quickly enflamed the roof.
